IPOH: The Ipoh City Council (MBI) has instructed contractors to rectify workmanship and finishing issues at two Taman Rekreasi Madani (TRM) projects in Taman Boon Bak and Taman Pengkalan Barat here.
The matter came to light following complaints from residents about the quality and physical finishing of the projects.

Ipoh Mayor Datuk Zamakhshari Hanipah led a site visit to both locations, accompanied by Pasir Pinji assemblyman Goh See Hua, MBI department heads and representatives of the contractors involved.
The visit followed with a meeting with See Hua on July 4, during which they discussed residents’ dissatisfaction over the quality of work and finishing at the TRM projects.
Several issues were identified during the inspection, including unsatisfactory finishing and other aspects of the implementation that required immediate improvement.
The contractors have been directed to take corrective measures and carry out repairs promptly to ensure the projects meet MBI’s set standards and cater to the well-being of the community.
MBI stressed that all development projects in the city must be of high quality, create a positive impact and provide long-term benefits for Ipoh residents.
