The Perak Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCCI) officially launched the “PCCCI 118 Legacy Run” during a press conference held recently. This commemorative event will be held on 30 November 2025 (Sunday) at Ipoh Padang, and is expected to attract 1,500 participants from the public.
Organised in celebration of PCCCI’s 118th anniversary, the run is more than just a sporting event — it is a symbolic journey through the rich history of Ipoh’s Chinese business community. The run features two categories: the 11.8KM Competitive Run and the 5KM Fun Run, starting at 5:15 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. respectively.
The 11.8KM run includes four categories: Men Open (18–39), Women Open (18–39), Men Veteran (40 and above) and Women Veteran (40 and above).
The 5KM Fun Run includes a Junior category (7–17 years) to encourage family participation.
One of the event’s highlights is the 5KM route, which passes through historic streets in Ipoh such as Jalan Yau Tet Shin and Jalan Foo Choo Choon, where photo checkpoints will be set up for participants to snap memorable moments and appreciate the legacy of Ipoh’s business pioneers.
“This legacy run is not only about promoting health, but also to honour the legacy and contributions of our predecessors who helped shape the economic foundation of Perak. Through this event, we hope the younger generation can appreciate the history that continues to inspire today’s business community,” shared by Dato’ Liew Chee Ming, President of PCCCI.

Registration is now open at https://checkpointspot.asia/event/118LR25, with early bird discounts available for the first 500 participants across all categories. The entry fee for the 11.8KM Competitive Run is RM55 (Early Bird) and RM65 (Normal). For the 5KM Fun Run, the Junior category is priced at RM35, while other categories are RM39 (Early Bird) and RM49 (Normal).
Participants in all categories will receive an event T-shirt, finisher medal, bib number, e-certificate, goodie bag, light refreshments, and personal accident insurance coverage. The 11.8KM category will be chip-timed for accuracy and fairness.
Attractive cash prizes will be awarded to the top five winners in each 11.8KM category (RM500, RM350, RM250, RM150, RM100), with trophies awarded up to the 10th place. A lucky draw with exciting prizes will also be held during the event.
Race pack collection will take place from 28 to 29 November 2025, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, at Wisma Octagon Ipoh.
