KUALA KANGSAR: One person was killed while three others were injured in a road accident involving a bus and a car near the Road Transport Department (JPJ) in Kampung Jamuan earlier today.
According to a spokesperson from the Perak Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM), the accident occurred around 7:08 PM.
The deceased was found trapped inside a Proton Saga car, while three individuals from the bus sustained injuries.
“One victim was trapped inside the car, and the Ministry of Health (KKM) confirmed that three passengers from the bus were injured.
“The fire department used telescopic equipment to create space and a hydraulic cutter to cut parts of the car.
“The victim was extricated using the equipment and was confirmed dead at the scene by the KKM medical team.
“The body was then handed over to the police for further action,” said the spokesperson here today.
The three injured victims were taken to a nearby hospital.
