With Malaysia’s Independence Day (Merdeka) 2025 just around the corner, now is the time to stoke the fires of patriotism with unity and tolerance as well as pride for the nation.
Yesterday morning, the Ipoh Timor MP & Canning ADUN Service Centre along with Konumiti Madani, conducted the Program Kibar Jalur Gemilang, where they distributed Jalur Gemilang flags to the community.

Pasir Pinji ADUN YB Goh See Hua, together with City Councillor Jayden Lim, Village Head Kelly, the Village Community Management Council (JPPK) of Pasir Pinji New Village, and their team members, gathered at the Kelab Kilat Field, the temporary market nearby, to hand out the Jalur Gemilang to the public.
Within just one hour, they were able to distribute around 2000 flags to cars, motorcycles and individuals around the area. As they interacted with the community, they worked to raise awareness on the importance of patriotism and encouraged the people to show their patriotism in their own ways.

Speaking to Ipoh Echo/Peraktastic at the JCI “Plant to 1000” event later that morning, YB Goh See Hua noted that as someone who has entered a life of public service, he had a responsibility to invigorate the spirit of the people and motivate the community’s sense of pride and patriotism for the nation.
