IPOH: A woman sustained burns over most of her body in a fire that engulfed three terrace houses on Jalan Perajurit, Taman Perajurit, earlier today.
According to a spokesperson from the Perak Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM), the incident occurred at around 10:39 AM.
The victim, believed to be in her 40s, was rushed to the hospital using an Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) vehicle.
A total of 15 personnel from the Tambun, Meru Raya, and Ipoh Fire and Rescue Stations, along with the Bercham Volunteer Fire Brigade, were deployed to the scene.
“Three houses were affected — the first house was 80% destroyed, the second 30%, and the third 10%.
“A woman sustained third-degree burns, with almost her entire body affected,” the spokesperson added.
