TAIPING: Good news for Taiping residents!
The Taiping Municipal Council (MPT) is offering a 50% discount on payments for parking compounds or violation notices for two days only, on August 30 and 31.
This discount is available to the public who have received compounds from MPT under the MPT 2004 Road Transport (Provision of Parking Spaces) Order.
However, the discount does not apply to compounds or notices that have already been taken to court or are in the extended reminder process.
According to an MPT statement, the public can check and pay their compounds with the discounted rate directly at the mobile counter.
“The MPT Mobile Counter at Aeon Mall will be open on August 30 and 31 from 10:00 AM to 9:30 PM.
“This initiative is held in conjunction with the 68th National Day celebration, to encourage the public to settle outstanding compounds,” the statement said.
MPT also urged the public to take this opportunity to avoid further action and, at the same time, support efforts to promote discipline and civic awareness among road users.
