SITIAWAN: The spirit of unity shown by the residents of the Taman Sitiawan Maju Flats is commendable, as they came together to ensure cleanliness through a gotong-royong (communal work) activity.
The initiative also involved cooperation from the Commissioner of Buildings Unit, Environmental Health and Urban Services Department, Community and Social Development Department of the Manjung Municipal Council (MPM), along with the collaboration of the Residents’ Committee (JKP) Zone 9 and MPM council members.
The program carried a ‘2-in-1’ objective, cleaning the residential area and fostering good and harmonious relationships among the multi-racial community together with MPM.
Strata living requires consensus and cooperation from all residents to build strong bonds and a clean environment, as everyone lives under the same roof.
If a community values cleanliness, the environment will be well maintained—and the opposite holds true if they do not.
MPM welcomes the active involvement of urban communities who are willing to work together and break a sweat to support communal cleanup programs in their residential areas.
This effort not only promotes healthy communal living but also helps curb negative habits and sets a positive example for the younger generation to live in unity.
