IPOH: Looking at the picture, one can’t help but wonder—when was the last time this area was cleaned?
The piles of plastic waste, along with scattered trash such as food containers, drink packaging, paper, boxes, and glass bottles, are an eyesore.

The location isn’t far—it’s on Jalan Lassam, a residential area right in the heart of the city.
The main issue here is the irresponsible attitude, whether from local residents or foreign nationals, who continue to dump their rubbish here.
It is this poor attitude that has caused efforts to make Ipoh a clean city to fail.
Relying solely on the local authorities will not solve the waste problem, which remains a major urban issue.
Believe this—even after this area is cleaned, illegal trash dumping and littering will continue to happen.
