Bukit Berapit Roads No Longer Shrouded in Darkness

Bukit Gantang — A total of 29 solar-powered LED streetlights have been installed in Bukit Berapit, resolving a long-standing issue of poorly lit roads that had troubled residents for years.

The improvement has been welcomed by frequent road users, particularly those travelling between Taiping and Kuala Kangsar at night.

Changkat Jering assemblyman Rahim Ismail said the installation of the streetlights will have a significant impact on both road safety and the comfort of the local community.

“I would like to thank the Public Works Department (JKR) Malaysia for approving the special allocation for Changkat Jering under the Bukit Gantang parliamentary constituency.

“Special appreciation also goes to the district engineer of Larut Matang and Selama (LMS), along with the entire JKR team from LMS District (Electrical Unit) and JKR Perak, for their excellent cooperation and responsiveness to every application submitted by the Changkat Jering service centre,” he said.

Rahim added that issues concerning the condition of roads in the area are still under review and will be addressed in due course.
