TAIPING: What does the future hold for the development of the iconic Taiping Lake Gardens?
This question lies at the heart of the Community Engagement Session on the Proposed Conservation of Taiping Lake Gardens, aimed at gathering public input and suggestions for the park’s sustainable future.

The special session, organised by the Taiping Municipal Council (MPM), takes place this Saturday and Sunday at the Lake Front & Raintree Walk area of the gardens.
The engagement aims to collect feedback from the local community through surveys and interactive discussions conducted throughout the event.
The conservation project has been carefully planned with a strong emphasis on maintaining balance between development, environmental sustainability, and community interests.
Through this participatory initiative, MPM hopes that every opinion gathered will contribute towards ensuring Taiping Lake Gardens remains beautiful, safe, and user-friendly — while continuing to enhance the town’s social and economic wellbeing.

Earlier, the session was attended by MPM President Khairul Amir Mohamad Zubir, alongside representatives from NMSA Landscape Design, the project’s lead consultant and facilitator of the engagement programme.
