By Zaki Salleh

Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) will provide two additional ETS services daily for the Padang Besar – KL Sentral route and vice versa in conjunction with the upcoming Deepavali celebration.

The service will run from 17 October to 22 October for a total of six days to meet the expected increase in passenger demand during the festive season.

In a statement, KTMB announced that tickets for the additional services will go on sale starting Tuesday, 7 October 2025, from 10 a.m.

The added services aim to reduce traffic congestion for those returning to their hometowns.

“A total of 3,780 seats will be offered, including business class coaches.

“Passengers are encouraged to purchase tickets through the KTMB Mobile (KITS) app or the official KTMB website, and to use KTM Wallet for faster payment processing,” the statement said.

In addition, the public is advised to plan their journeys and purchase tickets early to enjoy more affordable flexi fares.

Passengers are also reminded to arrive at the station 30 minutes early, as boarding gates will close five minutes before departure.
