IPOH: The community of Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Tamil (SJKT) Ladang Strathisla in Chemor has received a boost with the donation of a school van.
The van was contributed by the Tambun Parliamentary Community Service Centre, where the Member of Parliament is also the Prime Minister, Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
The donation aims to provide more comfortable and safer transportation for the school’s students, especially those living far from the school.
The handover of the van took place at a brief ceremony held alongside the presentation of the New Additional Building Plan for SJKT Ladang Strathisla.
The construction of the new building aims to create a more conducive learning environment and support the growth in student numbers and teaching capacity at the school.
The school and the local community expressed their gratitude and appreciation to the Prime Minister for his continued concern and support towards educational development in the area.
This initiative is hoped to further empower access to quality education for children in rural areas, in line with the government’s efforts to make education the foundation of national development.
