KAMPAR: A total of 45 kilograms (kg) of recyclable waste was successfully collected in September by the Public Health Department of the Kampar District Council (MDKpr).
This initiative is part of the Recyclable Item Collection Competition held in each EKSA zone (Public Sector Conducive Ecosystem) under MDKpr, which began in June.
All waste collected is weighed, recorded, and announced monthly throughout the competition period, which runs from May 29 to October 30.
Waste collection is carried out during the fourth week of every month, and is open to all EKSA zones within MDKpr.
The objective of this program is to ensure that all MDKpr staff practice recycling habits, particularly in the use of paper, cardboard, plastic drink containers, and other recyclable materials.
