SUNGAI SIPUT: The Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Division of the Sungai Siput District Police Headquarters (IPD) recently collaborated with the management of Sungai Siput Community College to organize a Road Safety Advocacy Program.

The program  aims to educate and raise awareness among students about the importance of obeying traffic rules and practicing safe driving habits.

In his speech, the District Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Chief, Insp. Mohd Hafiz Ahmad, urged students to always prioritize safety when on the road.

Mohd Hafiz also emphasized the importance of holding a valid driver’s license.

“In addition, wearing helmets and practicing courteous driving are wise steps to protect oneself and other road users,” he said.

Meanwhile, in a statement, IPD Sungai Siput noted that traffic officers present at the program also conducted inspections on student vehicles to ensure compliance with set standards.

“It is hoped that programs like this will open eyes and instill awareness, especially among the younger generation.

“Be more alert as road users—remember, safety is not a choice, it is our shared responsibility,” the statement added.
