TELUK INTAN: Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Tamil (SJK[T]) Ladang Selaba has received RM110,000 in funding under the Sentuhan Kasih program.
The initiative is the result of cooperation between the Kerajaan Madani (Madani Government), the Minister of Housing and Local Government, Nga Kor Ming, and Pasir Bedamar State Assemblyman, Woo Kah Leong.
The allocation will be fully utilised to upgrade the school’s infrastructure, including the purchase of Smart TVs, repair work on the assembly area, and improvements to the operations room and classrooms.
This move is aimed at creating a more conducive and student-friendly learning environment, in line with national education aspirations.
According to a statement, the full allocation has already been deposited into the school’s account, enabling the school management to begin the upgrade projects immediately.
The government also hopes that every cent provided will be used optimally for the well-being and academic excellence of the students.
Interestingly, the Kerajaan Madani approach goes beyond just the disbursement of funds.
Every application is followed by a site visit to understand the school’s actual needs.
A monitoring team will also return after the funds have been disbursed to ensure that all assistance is used transparently and effectively.
“Even though this school is located in a rural area, that has never been a barrier for us to go down to the ground.
“Education is the right of every Malaysian child, regardless of location, education stream, race, or background,” said Kor Ming during his visit.
This initiative reflects the Kerajaan Madani’s ongoing commitment to ensuring that no school is left behind, thereby strengthening the agenda of inclusivity in the national education system.
