Deepavali Aid Program Eases Burden on B40 Women in Bercham

IPOH: In conjunction with the upcoming Deepavali celebration, the Perak Association of Healthy Women, Happy Families carried out a community aid program to support women from B40 households.

The program, held at Taman Loke Lim in the Bercham state constituency (DUN Bercham), was officiated by the State Assemblyman (ADUN) for Bercham, Ong Boon Piow.

He presented food aid boxes to 25 recipients.

Each box contained groceries and essential items to help celebrate Deepavali more joyfully.

According to the program’s secretary, Subatra Adacapan, the organization greatly appreciates the cooperation and support received from various agencies and individuals in making the aid program a success.

“We would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to YB Ong Boon Piow, Council Member Mr. Ramesh, Village Head Mr. David, Mr. Umadass, and everyone involved, directly or indirectly, in making this program a success.

“This aid is hoped to ease the burden on recipients ahead of the festive season,” she said.

This initiative is part of the ongoing efforts by the Perak Association of Healthy Women, Happy Families to empower women through various welfare and community development programs, especially among vulnerable groups.

With the support of many parties, the association remains committed to continuing similar programs that can bring positive changes to the lives of B40 women and their families.
