MANJUNG  — Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) continues to demonstrate its strong commitment to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) sustainability through an initiative held at Pantai Pasir Panjang in Segari.

As part of the programme, participants planted 10 Garcinia hombroniana (beruas) shade trees and 50 Scaevola taccada (merambong) coastal shrubs along the beachfront.

The initiative was led by Ir Azmil Zain, Chief Engineer (Asset Operation) of Zone Asset N2, Perak, who headed a team of TNB Perak officers and staff in collaboration with the Manjung Municipal Council (MPM).

The coastal tree planting activity is one of several initiatives under the strategic partnership plan between TNB and MPM aimed at promoting environmental sustainability.

The programme’s objective is to raise awareness among TNB employees, MPM personnel, and the public on the importance of protecting the environment, particularly coastal areas, while supporting broader ESG goals.

The joint effort by TNB Zone Asset N2 Perak and MPM has been commended as a catalyst for fostering a culture of sustainable living within the community for the benefit of future generations.
