MPM’s Skuad Ihsan MADANI Holds Post-Flood Clean-Up in Pantai Remis

By Zaki Salleh

MANJUNG: The floods that hit several areas in Pantai Remis last week left lasting effects on victims, especially with household items badly damaged.

The most challenging phase after the floods is, of course, the clean-up work, including disposing of damaged items such as furniture.

To ease the burden on affected residents, the Skuad Ihsan MADANI of the Manjung Municipal Council (MPM), together with several agencies and local volunteers, came forward to help.

The Post-Flood Clean-Up Program in Sungai Batu, Pantai Remis, was organized to assist in cleaning efforts following the disaster.

This initiative serves as an immediate response to accelerate the cleaning and recovery process, particularly in residential areas, public pathways, and affected village surroundings.

According to an MPM statement, the involvement of various parties in this program reflects the spirit of cooperation and community concern in helping flood victims rebuild their lives.

“MPM extends its deepest appreciation and gratitude to all frontliners, volunteer squads, and MPM staff who joined forces on the ground to assist with the clean-up efforts,” the statement said.

It is hoped that this communal effort will create a safer, cleaner, and more comfortable environment so that residents can resume their daily routines as soon as possible.

MPM also informed that it will continue follow-up actions and close monitoring in affected areas from time to time to ensure that the recovery process runs smoothly and the welfare of the community remains protected.
