IPOH: Garbage collection, which should be carried out carefully and systematically to prevent waste from being left behind, has instead dirtied and polluted the affected areas.

That is the claim made by Ipoh residents regarding the attitude of the workers from contractors appointed by the Ipoh City Council (MBI), who are said to be collecting rubbish carelessly, leaving some waste behind at collection sites.
Residents also alleged that wastewater leaking from the garbage trucks during the compaction process dirties the roads and creates an unpleasant stench.

This not only spoils the scenery but also poses health risks to the local community.
“We’ve been facing this issue for a long time. This is one of the videos shared by Ipoh residents showing how the waste collection contractors work.
“Garbage collection is done carelessly, leaving behind some of the waste at the site.
“Residents hope that MBI will strictly monitor the contractors’ performance and ensure that waste collection work is done more cleanly and systematically.
“The recent video was recorded at the Panorama Lapangan Perdana Flats — and it’s not just this area. Other locations may also be experiencing the same sloppy work,” claimed the complainant.
