How far would you go to help the voiceless?
For a woman, shaving her long hair is no small decision. It is a sacrifice that comes with emotional weight. It’s not easy to let go of something that’s a part of your identity, yet that is what Puvaneswari Narayanasamy is willing to go through, in order to give voice to the voiceless.
She has been part of PapanSouls since July 2020. Starting off with cooking and feeding the landfill dogs that most people don’t even know exist.
On December 7, just a few days after her 47th birthday, she will shave her head completely bald, not to get personal attention, but to raise funds for the new PapalSouls Sanctuary, which will finally give those forgotten dogs a place to rest, heal and live without fear.
It’s a race against time for the PapanSouls team, as they battle limited resources and pressures to relocate the dogs. They still need RM60,000.00 to complete the remaining work and they still need to pay RM10,000.00 to the contractor who will be starting the kennel construction this Saturday.
Puvaneswari is also looking for a saloon that is willing to allow a livestream for the shaving. Those who want to participate can contact her at 017-5666206.
In addition to shaving her head bald to raise funds for this endeavor, she will also be donating her hair to Persatuan Pink Champions Perak, who will use the hair to make wigs for cancer warriors.
