IPOH: A hospital is a place where the public seeks treatment and cures for illnesses, regardless of their status or background.

Therefore, hospitals should be equipped with facilities that make it easier for people to receive comfortable services, especially for patients and hospital staff.

Complaints previously received regarding ventilation and heat issues at Kampar Hospital appear to have been addressed with improvements.

According to Gopeng Member of Parliament, Tan Kar Hing, although Kampar Hospital is located outside the Gopeng area, many Gopeng residents seek treatment there because it is closer and more accessible.

“For that reason, we took the initiative to help as much as we could. Part of the allocation has already been channelled and installation works have been completed.

“This includes air conditioning for the offices, air conditioning in the emergency area, as well as new fans for the wards,” he said during a visit to the hospital.

He added that during this visit, the hospital also shared several additional issues that need attention, such as slope problems, wildlife disturbances, and portions of the building roof that have become worn out.

“I will work to coordinate with the relevant parties to identify suitable follow-up measures to ensure Kampar Hospital can operate more safely and comfortably for everyone,” he added.
