Quest International University (QIU) marked a major milestone as graduates from six faculties proudly received their scrolls at the University’s 9th Convocation Ceremony on November 22.
The ceremony was presided over by QIU Council Chairman and Pro-Chancellor Dato’ Sri Dr Vijay Eswaran and QIU Chancellor Tun Arifin Zakaria. The occasion was attended by senior state government officials, industry partners, faculty members, and the graduates’ overjoyed families; reflecting the strong support and pride surrounding this year’s cohort.
Graduates from the Faculty of Business and Management, Faculty of Computing and Engineering, Faculty of Integrated Life Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Pharmacy, and the Faculty of Social Sciences celebrated the completion of their academic journeys. Their programmes spanned a diverse range of fields; demonstrating QIU’s commitment to producing holistic, industry-ready professionals.
This year’s convocation also honoured Valedictorian Esther Chong Thim Sum, an outstanding Bachelor of Early Childhood Education graduate who received the prestigious Dato’ Sri Dr Vijay Eswaran Award. Esther, who completed her degree in two years through the APEL-C pathway, showcased remarkable leadership and initiative throughout her time at QIU.
She played an integral role in university-wide events and initiatives as part of the Student Representative Council, represented QIU in the North Zone, Malaysian Private Higher Education Institutions Sports Council (MASISWA) Sports Championship as part of the badminton team, and has already begun applying her passion for early childhood education as the principal of a local international preschool; a significant achievement at her young age.
QIU continues to grow as a comprehensive, industry-focused institution that nurtures future leaders across multiple disciplines. With a decade-long track record of producing successful, work-ready graduates, the university remains dedicated to providing world-class academic opportunities that meet the evolving needs of the nation and the global community.
The 9th Convocation Ceremony welcomed a crowd of proud families, faculty members, industry guests, and state officials; making it an unforgettable day of celebration, achievement, and new beginnings for the graduates of 2025.
