On November 29, saw the launch of Dr. Adib Vincent Tung Abdullah’s 30th book, “Birds at the Royal Perak Golf Club (Malaysia)”, at the Royal Perak Golf Club (RPGC)’s Albatross Hall, organised by Perak Academy and the RPGC.

It’s said that if you want to discover a new species you’ve never seen before, then simply look into your backyard. It’a also said that birds are among the most beautiful and wondrous creatures in our lives. Considering both these statements, Dr. Adib and his fellow birdwatchers have captured photos of the many splendid soaring songsters which have made a pitstop at the RPGC; both native and migrant specimens. And he’s compiled them into his 30th work.
This pictorial book, which tracked more than 115 different species of birds at RPGC, is an excellent gift for tourists and visitors, as it also complements Visit Malaysia Year 2026. The cost for the hard cover is RM300 while the soft copy is RM200 (which does not include packaging and postage). To order and make arrangements to receive, email perakacademy.contact@gmail.com

Dato’ Dr Ramanathan Ramiah, CEO of Yayasan Ipoh (YI), who had just overseen an event at YI earlier that day, nonetheless made the trip in order to introduce Dr. Adib to those in attendance for the book launching, before passing the lectern to Dr. Adib himself.
Dr. Adib for his part, gave his thanks for all those who’ve made this work of his a possibility, and put emphasis on the conservation of the environment. He could not help but let slip the passion that he and his fellow birdwatchers have, for the splendour of the birds that have been seen around even just the RPGC.

The book launch was also graced and officiated by the Duli Yang Amat Mulia Raja DiHilir Perak Darul Ridzuan Raja Iskandar Dzurkarnain Ibni Almarhum Sultan Idris A’fifullah Shah.
