IPOH: With the aim of helping those in need, the community-based NGO, One Mission Association, carried out a community outreach programme to support orphaned children.
This time, the focus was on the residents of the Federal Territory Children’s Care Centre.
Leading the programme was the association’s chairman, Anand Kunasegaran.
According to the Deputy Chairman of One Mission Association, Raymond Francis, this was the association’s 114th community assistance programme conducted nationwide.

Raymond, who hails from Ipoh, said they chose the orphanage in the capital for this initiative under the theme “Back to School.”
They provided school supplies to the children.
“We donated various items such as school uniform sets, bags, and shoes amounting to RM2,900.
“To add to their joy, we also treated the children to a banana leaf rice lunch, symbolising a simple yet nutritious food tradition,” he said.
Raymond, who is one of the founders of the NGO, explained that the main objective of One Mission Association is to help those in need, especially orphans and senior citizens who are often left behind from the country’s progress.
“Programmes like this not only provide school necessities for the children but also give them hope for a brighter future.
“With joint efforts, more children and those in need will be able to enjoy better opportunities in their lives,” Raymond said.
