PANGKOR: Residents of Pulau Pangkor can now enjoy improved healthcare services following the handover of the new Pulau Pangkor Health Clinic.

It aims to enhance access to quality of primary healthcare services for the local community.

This facility, fully equipped with medical and non-medical equipment as well as modern amenities, was successfully completed last October.

The RM24.2 million project was carried out by Utusan Teguh Sdn. Bhd. as the main contractor, with technical management and supervision by the Perak Public Works Department (JKR).

The opening of this new facility is also expected to expand the scope of primary healthcare services and increase the healthcare workforce to meet service needs in the area.

Earlier, the official handover ceremony of the Pulau Pangkor Health Clinic complex was officiated by the Perak JKR Director, Ir. Zamri Mat Kasim, the Deputy Secretary of the Development Division, to Ministry of Health, Khairul Anwar Ramli.

This official handover allows the Pulau Pangkor Health Clinic to begin preparations for full operation, which is expected on 19 January 2026.
