BATU GAJAH: A total of 216 MADANI Recreational Parks (TRM) have been successfully completed within 24 months, far exceeding the original target of building 100 parks per year.

This initiative was achieved by the Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT) through the National Landscape Department (JLN) to strengthen the country’s green space network.

Minister of Housing and Local Government, Nga Kor Ming, said this achievement demonstrates the government’s commitment to providing a more conducive, healthy, and sustainable living environment.

He said the vision of establishing 1,000 MADANI Parks is now actively being realized nationwide.

“Most recently, we officiated the MADANI Park (TRM) at Taman Tanjak in Batu Gajah, which showcases the unique arts and identity of Perak through a design inspired by the tanjak and tekat craft, developed with an allocation of RM500,000 on six acres of land.

“Over the past 24 months, 216 MADANI Parks have been completed, including 34 in the state of Perak alone.

“The year 2025 will also see JLN completing 114 landscape development programs and projects, an increase of 4.6% compared to 2024,” he said during the officiating ceremony.
