IPOH: It is time for the iconic landmark bearing the word IPOH to be restored, as the damaged letter “H” has marred the view.
A social media user said the damage is clearly visible and can be seen from the highway when taking the Ipoh exit.
“Please ask the Ipoh City Council to fix the IPOH sign, or for the state government to help repair it,” the user said.
Meanwhile, members of the public on social media have also raised the issue, especially in conjunction with Visit Malaysia Year 2026.
As a city, such matters should be given due attention, as the sign is not only an icon of Ipoh but also holds its own historical value.
“When coming down the highway from Menora, you can already see how worn the Ipoh landmark looks,” a netizen commented.
