IPOH: Overgrown bushes and grass that are allegedly never cut at the playground near the Anjung Bercham Utama housing area here have caused many residents to be unable to use the public facility for a long time.
According to a complainant who spoke to Ipoh Echo/Peraktastic, although a complaint was submitted to the Ipoh City Council (MBI) last October through the designated online channel provided, no cleaning or maintenance work has been carried out to date.

The complainant further alleged that the overgrown condition of the public park has also led to homes in the area being entered by venomous animals.
“Since this playground was established around last year, the authorities have never cut the grass or cleaned the park area.
“We have lodged complaints with MBI, but no action has been taken. It is dangerous if residents and children play at this playground, as there may be venomous snakes,” the complainant said.
He added that they hope the playground will be cleaned immediately and monitored regularly, as there is no point in having a facility provided if it is left unattended and ends up creating other problems for residents.
