IPOH: Streetlights along Jalan Sultan Iskandar, near Hotel Abby, have been non-functional for the past two months, according to a complainant who contacted Ipoh Echo/Peraktastic.

The complainant said a report regarding the issue was submitted some time ago through the Ipoh City Council (MBI) online complaint portal.

However, upon checking the status of the complaint, it was marked as resolved, despite no repairs or improvements having been carried out to date.
“Can you help me? The streetlights near Hotel Abby on Jalan Sultan Iskandar have not been working for two months.
“The road becomes very dark at night and poses a danger to road users, especially pedestrians passing through this area. I urge the authorities to expedite the repair works,” the complainant said.

Issues involving malfunctioning and damaged streetlights are frequently raised by Ipoh residents.
It is time for the relevant authorities to conduct regular inspections and implement immediate monitoring to ensure timely repair works.
