IPOH: The owner of Aisshwarya Artistry and Bridal Academy, Renu Isvari Kumar, has brought pride to the local beauty industry after being invited to serve as a judge at an international beauty competition in Trichy, Tamil Nadu, India, recently.
The invitation was extended by the India Make-up Artist Federation (IMAF), with participation from more than 1,000 contestants.
According to Renu Isvari, the opportunity to be invited to India as a judge for makeup and henna decoration competitions is a highly meaningful recognition following more than 15 years of her involvement in the beauty industry.
“This opportunity is extremely valuable because it not only recognises my experience as an industry practitioner, but also opens doors to share expertise at the international level,” she said.
Renu Isvari has been involved in the beauty field for over a decade, encompassing experience as a professional makeup artist, beauty trainer, and skills training provider.
Throughout this period, she has been actively involved in professional training, beauty competitions, and the development of new talent within the industry.
Sharing her journey, she explained that she built a strong foundation through professional training and skills certification.
Among these are the Malaysian Skills Certificate, Train the Trainer, Vocational Training Officer qualifications, as well as hands-on experience with various training programmes such as HRD Corp, MITRA, PASAK, and PENJANA.
Her extensive experience as an instructor has further strengthened her capabilities in both theoretical and practical aspects of the beauty field.
In addition, the various recognitions and awards she has received at both local and international levels were also factors in her selection.
Renu Isvari also emphasised that the beauty industry is not merely about makeup, but requires discipline, skills, knowledge, and a high level of professionalism.
“To young people who are interested in the beauty field, I encourage you to pursue formal learning, continue to enhance your knowledge, be brave in trying new things, and never give up.
“If done with the right commitment and passion, this field can become a stable, respected, and fulfilling career,” she said.
The invitation to serve as a judge in India further proves that the expertise of local talent in the beauty industry is capable of reaching the international stage and gaining global recognition.
