Ipoh Book Lovers Club to Host Book Discussion and Book Swap

by KT Leong
Established in 2017, the Ipoh Book Lovers Club will be hosting its first event of the year on 18 January, at 5 pm. Founded to promote reading and literacy in Ipoh, the club’s event this time, will be a book discussion and book swap. The location will be available by booking via their Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/groups/ipohbookloversclub/

The event will be a cozy discussion of the Reading List by Sara Nisha Adams, as well as a Blind Date with a Book, which is the book swapping component of the event.
What is a Blind Date with a Book? If you have books you’d like to donate, you can bring them to the event, wrapped in craft paper or old newspaper. Just add a note that describes them without giving away the title. For example: Gothic, Governess or Mad woman in an attic. Then join in with the other participants in choosing a book you would like to read, based on the descriptions.
You can bring as many books as you would like. The event is open to members only, but membership is free by joining the Ipoh Book Lovers Club on Facebook.
