KUALA KANGSAR: The start of the new school session was especially meaningful for students at two schools in this district with a visit from the Perak Police Chief, Dato’ Noor Hisam Nordin.
The top police leader in the state of Perak first visited Sekolah Kebangsaan Raja Perempuan Muzwin (SKRPM) before proceeding to Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Clifford.

The visit was held in conjunction with the “First Day at School” Programme for the 2026 school year, which was also attended by the Perak State Education Director, Mohd Zulkafli Mohamed Mokhtar.
The programme is a collaborative initiative between the Perak State Education Department and the police through the Perak Contingent Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department.
The police’s priority is to ensure that students are able to learn in an environment free from crime threats and disciplinary problems.

The programme began with welcoming and engaging with students arriving at school, followed by attending an assembly together with invited guests and members of the SKRPM school community.
In his address during the assembly, the Perak Police Chief welcomed students back to school, especially those entering the school system for the first time.
Noor Hisam’s visit to SMK Clifford, meanwhile, stirred memories of his time as a former student of the school.
While addressing the students, he began his speech in an emotional tone by expressing his gratitude to the teachers who had once educated him, saying that without teachers, he would not have achieved success.

This moment evoked nostalgia and memories of the bittersweet experiences he had while pursuing his studies at the school.
He reminded all students to study diligently so that they would become successful individuals in the future.
“Never get involved in bullying cases, drug abuse, or riding motorcycles without a licence.
“Comply with all school rules and the law, and safeguard the good name of the school and your parents,” he said.
