BATU GAJAH: Continuous operations by the authorities recently resulted in the capture of 18 stray dogs in the Batu Gajah area.

The Batu Gajah District Council (MDBG) stated that the effort is important to ensure the community environment remains safe and peaceful, while addressing the issue of stray dogs that disturb public order and cleanliness in residential areas.

“The operation, involving 13 enforcement officers, successfully caught 18 dogs found roaming uncontrolled.

“Enforcement and monitoring actions will continue to be intensified from time to time to ensure the community environment remains safe and secure,” the statement said.

The community was also reminded to be responsible in pet ownership and not allow dogs to roam freely, as this can cause disturbances and pose risks to residents.

Such situations not only affect public peace but can also lead to uncontrolled breeding and an increase in the stray dog population.

MDBG also urged the public to take note of and comply with the Dog Licensing By-Laws (West Kinta District Council) 1985 enforced by local authorities.

Any complaints related to stray dogs can be submitted via the portal perak.spab.gov.my.
