BATU GAJAH: Whenever heavy rain occurs, the area near Taman Batu Gajah Transit here is often hit by flash floods, obstructing vehicles attempting to pass through the road.
Jasbir Singh, who frequently uses the road to commute to work, said that apart from the low-lying terrain, the water drainage in the area is also unsatisfactory.
He added that the issue should be addressed immediately by the relevant authorities to ensure safety and smooth traffic flow, particularly during the ongoing period of heavy rain affecting Perak.
“This issue has persisted for a long time, yet no efforts have been taken to mitigate flash floods in this area. Whenever it rains heavily, the area will be inundated.
“Some vehicles are unable to pass and have to wait until the water recedes or seek alternative routes.
“I often use this route to return to Tanjung Tualang as I work in Jelapang. If possible, the relevant authorities should resolve this issue promptly,” he said.
