‘Raya Photoshoot’ at Homestay MamaSufi becomes a popular choice to capture Aidilfitri memories

IPOH: Capturing family photographs as keepsakes during Aidilfitri is undergoing a transformation, with studio photography sessions now becoming a popular choice.

In the past, families were more inclined to take photos in their living rooms or at public parks; however, studios now offer a more exclusive setting, free from distractions.

Background decorations themed around ketupat, oil lamps and traditional elements not only enhance the festive Aidilfitri atmosphere but also provide a consistent aesthetic touch.

Professional lighting also ensures that every colour of festive attire stands out.

In Tambun, Homestay MamaSufi is offering a ‘Raya Photoshoot’ package that provides families the opportunity to capture their special moments.

According to its photographer, Muhamad Nazreen Syah Musthafa, or Nazreen, demand for studio-based Aidilfitri photography sessions has been increasing each year, especially among large families.

He said customers want to ensure that all family members can be captured together in a perfect frame.

“Many see Raya photos not merely for social media, but as long-term memories.

“The studio provides better control of lighting, arrangement and background compared to taking photos at home or in public parks,” he said.

This approach enables customers to obtain their photographs quickly, making it suitable for the busy visiting schedule during Aidilfitri celebrations.

Nazreen explained that the Homestay MamaSufi Raya studio offers two family-friendly packages: Package A, priced at RM150 for up to eight people, and Package B, priced at RM200 for up to 13 people.

Each session lasts 30 minutes with unlimited photos, while edited results are delivered within 24 hours via Telegram, Google Drive or WhatsApp Documents.

“For many, Raya photos are not merely visual records, but symbols of love and togetherness that will be cherished by future generations.

“Every moment captured becomes a memory,” Nazreen said, summarising the true meaning behind the camera lens each time Syawal arrives.
