IPOH — Amid crowds rushing to buy food at the Ramadan bazaar at Stadium Ipoh, a visitor suddenly collapses.
Panic spreads as many are unsure what to do, while others record the alarming situation on their smartphones.
Who would step forward to provide emergency assistance?
Does the bazaar organiser have trained medical personnel on site?
Many would not expect such emergencies to occur in situations like this.
This is the role played by medical personnel from MK Ambulance, who are stationed throughout operating hours at the Ramadan bazaar site.

Founder and director of My Healthcare Services, Mazhar Khadir, stated that the company offers ambulance services and a medical team stationed at the bazaar grounds, which remain on standby at all times.
He said MK Ambulance deployed the medical personnel as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative in collaboration with the Ramadan bazaar operator.
“This is our charitable contribution to the community. MK Ambulance personnel ensure the safety of members of the public who visit the bazaar.
“This service aims to address any medical emergencies that may occur throughout the bazaar, such as injuries, fatigue or health conditions requiring immediate treatment.
“Our ambulance is always in ‘standby’ mode to provide prompt assistance to the public,” he told Ipoh Echo/Peraktastic.
Mazhar said the presence of MK Ambulance assures visitors that medical assistance is readily available should emergencies arise.
At the same time, he advised the public visiting the Ramadan bazaar to be mindful of their physical condition to avoid potential risks.
This is especially important for those with allergies, individuals who may not be suited to crowded or hot environments, and senior citizens who have difficulty walking.
“Ramadan bazaars are usually crowded. Visitors should assess their own condition and decide whether they can be in such environments,” he said.
