IPOH: MK Land Holdings Berhad (MK Land) hosted more than 250 orphans and tahfiz students through its MK Land Ramadan Tour Series held throughout the holy month of Ramadan.
The programme was organised at four of the company’s key operational locations: Damansara Perdana, Ipoh, Bukit Merah, and Langkawi.
The initiative aimed to foster a spirit of togetherness while sharing the joy of Ramadan with those in need.
At each location, orphans and tahfiz students from selected welfare homes and tahfiz centres were treated to a variety of dishes for the breaking of fast.
The celebration was also complemented by the distribution of duit raya as a symbolic gesture ahead of the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri, bringing smiles and joy to the children.
MK Land Northern Region Chief Operating Officer Nazri Tumin said the initiative was not only meant to support the local community but also to inspire children to dream big.
“At MK Land, we believe every child has the potential for a bright future if they are given the right encouragement and opportunities.
“This Ramadan Tour Series is not only to celebrate them, but also to open their eyes and hearts to the vast opportunities in the world.
“We want them to believe that they, too, deserve success and the chance to build a better future,” he said when met at the programme here.
Earlier, the event was attended by MK Land Holdings Berhad Executive Chairman Hajah Felina Tan Sri Mustapha Kamal.
Nazri added that M K Land’s commitment to social responsibility is in line with the company’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) agenda.
“As a responsible organisation, MK Land not only develops properties but is also committed to nurturing humanitarian values within the community.
“Initiatives like this are part of our efforts to instil compassion, empathy and a spirit of helping one another among the younger generation,” he said.
The MK Land Ramadan Tour Series reflects the company’s core values in prioritising social well-being while ensuring no community is left behind.
