MANJUNG — The Majlis Perbandaran Manjung (MPM) has stepped forward to assist underprivileged residents in spreading cheer during the month of Ramadan.
The initiative was carried out through the Program Syukur Pangkor: Sebakul Rezeki, Selautan Kasih, held across several villages on Pulau Pangkor.
The programme, organised by MPM for the second time, was held in collaboration with the special officer to the Menteri Besar Perak for the Pangkor state constituency and councillor, Mohd Rafiq Mohd, as well as food company Adabi Consumer Industries.
It was organised as a gesture of care and compassion while sharing blessings with those in need.
The programme also received cooperation from village heads and community leaders who assisted in distributing the contribution boxes to recipients.
A total of 30 aid boxes were distributed to beneficiaries from eight villages across Pulau Pangkor.
It is hoped that the contribution will help ease the burden of the recipients and provide some relief throughout the Ramadan month.
