TAIPING, March 13 — The excitement of welcoming Aidilfitri, now less than a week away, was clearly reflected on the faces of four siblings from an underprivileged family living in Taman Tekkah, Aulong here.
A special officer to the Second Deputy Prime Minister, Neow Choo Seong, paid a visit to the family and treated the children to new Raya clothes.

Neow, who is also the information chief of the MCA Youth, said the visit was aimed at reaching out to the family and easing their burden ahead of the upcoming Syawal celebration.
“Today I visited Abang Azmi and Kak Aini’s family to check on their well-being. The family lives a very modest life.
“I then brought the couple to Taiping Mall to purchase completely new Raya outfits for their four children,” he said.

The four siblings — Waldan, Amzar, Emmy and Wafiq — appeared delighted as they selected their respective festive attire.
Neow said that witnessing the children’s excitement and cheerful expressions while they chose clothes for the upcoming Aidilfitri celebration brought him a sense of joy.

He also expressed hope that the children would grow up well, succeed in life, and one day be able to help their family and contribute back to society.
Such efforts to reach out to those in need are hoped to continue nurturing a spirit of compassion within the community, especially during the festive season.
