IPOH: The tourist destination at Kinta Riverwalk will come alive with the organisation of the Perak Madani Iftar Picnic programme on March 18, just days ahead of the Syawal celebration.

Perak Housing and Local Government Committee chairman Sandrea Ng said a host of exciting activities awaits the public, including a lucky draw, musical performances, distribution of breaking-of-fast meals, and a fireworks display.
“As Ramadan draws closer to its end, the excitement of Syawal is already in the air. This is the time for us to gather, strengthen our bonds, and enjoy the atmosphere of Ramadan while embracing the festive mood of Hari Raya that is approaching.
“Come and enliven the Iftar Picnic at Kinta Riverwalk with your family and friends. It is not just about breaking fast, but also about enjoying a range of interesting activities,” she said.
The programme, which will begin at 5pm and end at midnight, will also feature a religious talk and Tarawih prayers.
Although food for breaking fast will be provided, members of the public are encouraged to bring potluck dishes to share with others.
