IPOH: The Safe Home Campaign 2026, an initiative by the Ipoh District Police Headquarters (IPD), aims to raise public awareness on the importance of home security during the festive holiday season.
Carrying the theme ‘Safe Home, Safe Journey to Your Destination’, the campaign is intended to ensure that residents’ homes remain secure while they are away returning to their hometowns.
In this regard, the public is encouraged to register their travel details at the nearest police station or fill in the home monitoring form provided by the police.
In addition, registration can also be done online via the Volunteer Smartphone Patrol (VSP) application to facilitate the monitoring process.
According to IPD Ipoh, this measure enables the police to conduct periodic patrols in residential areas that have been left unattended.
The initiative is seen as capable of reducing the risk of crimes such as house break-ins, which often occur during festive seasons.
The public is also advised to ensure that all doors and windows are securely locked and to avoid leaving valuables unattended.
