IPOH: This year’s Aidilfitri brought joy to the underprivileged community in the Pinji state constituency as they were celebrated under the Meriah Beraya Bersama 2026 programme.

The event was organised by the Perak government in collaboration with the Ipoh Timor MP’s Office and the Pasir Pinji State Assemblyman’s Office at AEON Station 18.

The programme aimed to celebrate Aidilfitri with the local community in a spirit of goodwill and togetherness.

Through the initiative, students from low-income families as well as senior citizens received festive contributions to help ease their financial burden.

Such efforts reflect the state government’s and elected representatives’ commitment to public welfare, ensuring no group is left behind in enjoying the festive season.

Meanwhile, Pinji assemblyman Goh See Hua said the programme was not organised merely in conjunction with the upcoming election.

He emphasised that it has been held consistently for the past three years and is organised annually as part of ongoing efforts to reach out and assist the people.

“I believe initiatives like this not only support those in need but also strengthen ties between the community and the government.

“May this spirit of unity and mutual support continue to be strengthened for the well-being of the people and the harmony of Perak,” he said.
