IPOH – Concerns and challenges faced by traders at Kinta Riverwalk have caught the attention of State Executive Councillor Sandrea Ng, who recently met with one of the affected business owners.

Sandrea, who is the Executive Councillor for Housing and Local Government, assured that matters under her purview will be reviewed and addressed accordingly.

Sharing details of her private meeting with the owner of Coffee CAMP 612, she said the discussion was important to better understand the issues on the ground.

“Recently, several posts and complaints have surfaced regarding the condition and facilities around the Kinta Riverfront area.

“In response, I took the opportunity to meet with Coffee CAMP 612, one of the local businesses there, to hear directly their views and the challenges they face as operators in this area.

“Such engagements are crucial so that every issue can be understood directly from those involved, which in turn helps us find more comprehensive and practical solutions,” she said.

Meanwhile, the outlet owner, known as Wong, expressed hope that the meeting and discussion would help revive the image and visitor traffic in the area.

He also hoped for more promotional efforts to be carried out to boost the sales potential of traders, which he said has been on a decline.

“YB Exco came over and said she would try to assist where possible to bring life back to this place. My hope is that our wish to see this area lively again with activities and visitors, just like before, will become a reality,” he said.
