Junior Chambers International (JCI) Ipoh held their 49th Installation & Awards (IA) last Saturday.
JCI is a non-governmental organisation (NGO) that aims to build leadership in their members through community works, and is notable in that the president and board of directors only serve 1-year terms, so as to give all its members an opportunity to grow.

The event witnessed the transition of leadership, with Outgoing President Emily Wong Li Hwa passing the torch to Incoming President Oscar Low Jun Xiang, who continues the theme of “Build”, which was started in JCI Ipoh 2025 Emily Wong’s installation as president in 2025. “Build” will focus on three core aspects: building people, brand, and relations; with the aim to strengthen JCI Ipoh’s presence and impact.
An example would be their previous year’s flagship project, Plant to 1000, which helped them build their relationships with businesses and the community.

JCI Ipoh extended its gratitude to their returning sponsors, such as IDEX Professional, RT Petroleum Sdn. Bhd., Public Packaging Group Sdn. Bhd., SS Aluminium Glass Hardware Industries, Smartrider Holdings Sdn. Bhd. and Goodwill Dental Ipoh. as well as newer sponsors who see the value they offer to the community, such as A Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., Leader Safety Glass International Sdn. Bhd., JEP Ventures Sdn. Bhd., and Sunrider Holdings Sdn. Bhd.
Other sponsors include Exnus Petroleum Sdn. Bhd., KM Yong Agency, Carsifu Auto Service, AP Hair & Beauty Supplier Sdn. Bhd., Chang Jiang International Sdn. Bhd. and Yours Earning Group Sdn. Bhd.
