IPOH: The termite problem at SK Wira Jaya, which has affected the school buildings, is viewed as a highly concerning issue.
Gopeng Member of Parliament, Tan Kar Hing, while attending the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration at the school, stated that his visit was, among other objectives, to survey the actual needs of the school.
“I received an invitation to SK Wira Jaya in conjunction with the Hari Raya celebration. However, behind the festivities, the termite issue affecting the school buildings is very worrying.
“Infrastructure constraints and a lack of funding continue to be the primary challenges for schools in urban areas,” he said.

He added that the visit continued to SJKT Gunung Rapat.
In addition to infrastructure facility issues, the school administration there also raised the matter of a lack of space for preschool classes.
He further noted that all issues at the visited schools will be given serious attention so that they can be highlighted to the Ministry for further action.
