IPOH: Mother’s Day celebrations in the Buntong area were held in a lively atmosphere through a programme featuring free food distribution and a special cake-cutting ceremony for mothers.
The programme was organised by the Buntong Child Safety Team NGO as a gesture of appreciation for the sacrifices made by mothers.
Its chairman, P. Uvarajan, said the association also distributed gifts, food and cakes to mothers around the Buntong area.
According to him, the celebration aimed to nurture love and appreciation for the role and sacrifices of mothers in every individual’s life.
He said everyone should always remember the sacrifices and kindness shown by a mother.
“Mothers are individuals who sacrifice greatly in raising their children with love and sincerity,” he said.
He also described a mother’s sacrifices as priceless and something that cannot be repaid with money.
The event also received an encouraging response from residents who attended with their families.
The atmosphere became even more meaningful as mothers were celebrated in a warm and harmonious setting.
The organisers hope the programme will help strengthen community ties while raising awareness on the importance of appreciating mothers every day.
