IPOH: A cat had to be rescued by firefighters after it became trapped in a massage chair and was unable to free itself.
The special rescue operation was carried out by personnel from the Tambun Fire and Rescue Station on Tuesday.
According to the station, the incident occurred at 2.53pm after they received an emergency call involving a cat stuck in the spring mechanism of a massage chair at Taman Bougainvilla, Kinding, Tanjung Rambutan.


Upon arrival at the location, the team found the cat trapped and unable to escape.
“Firefighters used appropriate equipment to carefully carry out the rescue operation to avoid causing injury to the animal.
“The operation was successfully completed, and the cat was safely freed before being handed back to its owner.
“Every life is precious, and it is our responsibility to assist to the best of our ability,” the statement said.
