IPOH: About 200 residents took part in the Large-Scale Dengue Eradication Clean-Up Programme organised by the Taman Rishah Ipoh Residents Association in collaboration with the KRT Taman Rishah 1B, Kinta District.
The programme also saw the presence of special guest Theeageesh Ganesan, who contributed cash donations in support of the initiative.
According to Taman Rishah Residents Association chairman B. Jayaprakash, the encouraging turnout reflects the strong spirit of unity among the community members.


He expressed hope that cooperation between residents, government agencies, educational institutions and volunteers would continue to be strengthened for the well-being of the community in the future.
In his speech, he also emphasised the importance of education for children as a vital asset for the nation’s future, as well as the need for society to remain united for community progress.
He further stated his commitment to continue working closely with and supporting the community in the future.


A total of 10 student volunteers from Management and Science University (MSU), Ipoh Meru Campus, led by Nanthini, also assisted in the programme.
The participation of various agencies provided residents with opportunities to obtain information and advisory services directly on-site.
The programme was further enlivened with a Children’s Colouring Contest, which attracted 35 participants accompanied by their parents.
The organisers expressed appreciation to the committee members of the Taman Rishah Residents Association and KRT Taman Rishah 1B for their dedicated efforts in ensuring the success of the programme.
