The Perak Deaf Sports Association (PESDeaf) secured the overall third-place (runner-up) position at the 17th Malaysian Deaf Badminton Championship, held at Kuantan, Pahang from June 5 to 7.
The Perak state delegation comprised six youth athletes selected from Special Education Integrated Schools in Ipoh and Teluk Intan.
The team concluded the three-day tournament with a total medal tally of one gold, two silver, and four bronze medals.


Following the tournament’s conclusion, PESDeaf issued an open call to individuals with hearing impairments or cochlear implants interested in competitive sports. The association manages development programs across multiple disciplines, including badminton, table tennis, tenpin bowling, chess, orienteering, athletics, e-sports, and men’s and women’s futsal.
