Little Bees, Big Hearts: Kinder Labz Celebrates Sports Day 2026 with Energy, Laughter and Team Spirit

Hundreds of children, parents and teachers come together for a morning of games, pride and unforgettable memories at Kinder Labz Sports Day 2026.

IPOH, 9 JUNE 2026 — The Kinder Labz campus at Jalan Woodward came alive last Saturday morning as students, parents, grandparents, teachers and staff gathered under the early sun for one of the most anticipated events on the school calendar — Kinder Labz Sports Day 2026. What unfolded over the course of the morning was not just a sports event. It was a celebration of childhood, community and the kind of joy that only a field full of determined little athletes can produce.

By 7.00am, the campus was already buzzing. Children (and parents) in their house colours; Yellow, Green, Blue and Red; made their way to their assembly points, some clutching their house flags with both hands, others already attempting to outcheer the team next to them. Teachers and support staff, who had arrived as early as 6.00am to ensure everything was in place, moved with calm efficiency through the organised excitement.

Tiny Flag Bearers, Enormous Pride

The morning’s opening parade was one of the most heartwarming moments of the day. Led by Benji; Kinder Labz’s beloved mascot — children marched proudly around the field before assembling in front of the stage, a sea of colour and energy that drew cheers from every corner of the grounds.

Carrying the flags at the front of the march were some of Kinder Labz’s most proud little representatives. Ms. Clemence Than Zhi Lin bore the Malaysian national flag with quiet dignity that belied her years, while Ms. Noelle Liew Zhiying carried the Perak state flag with beaming pride. The Kinder Labz flag was held by Master Kheashigaan A/L Suman, representing last year’s Champion, Yellow House — who walked with the unmistakable air of someone who knew exactly how important his role was.

Each of the four houses was represented by a flag bearer who led their team into the field: Master Dakkshantt Rao Gopi Naidu for Yellow House, Ms. Suraya Delisha Bt Mohd Hazrin for Green House, Master Grayson Low for Blue House and Ms. Jasmine Bt Faiz Izuandi for Red House. For many parents watching from the sidelines, this was the moment that broke them; in the best possible way. Several were seen reaching for their phones the instant their child stepped into view and more than a few had tears in their eyes before the national anthem had even begun.

Negaraku, Kinder Labz Song and the Declaration

With the children assembled on the field facing the stage — K2 at the front, followed by K1, Nursery and Pre-Nursery — the morning opened with the singing of Negaraku. Parents, teachers and children stood together in a moment of shared pride and stillness that set the tone for the day.

The Kinder Labz school song followed, performed by seven children on stage — a performance that drew thunderous applause and more than a little parental wiping of eyes. Then came the official declaration, delivered by Dr. Evelyn Chen, Executive Director of Bonanza Educare, who welcomed the crowd and officially declared Kinder Labz Sports Day 2026 open. The words were barely out before the poppers went off on both sides of the field and the air filled with laughter and cheers.

Games, Grit and Genuine Fun

The sports stations were set up across three distinct zones, each designed to give different age groups the right level of challenge and fun. Pre-Nursery and Nursery children played at Building 2 Field, with a team of teachers and support staff ensuring every child felt safe, encouraged and celebrated. K1 students took to the Running Track and Fake Grass Area, where competitive spirits ran high and little legs ran faster. K2 children headed to the Secret Garden — a favourite spot on campus — where the games were as imaginative as the setting.

Throughout every station, the same scenes repeated: children cheering each other on regardless of house colour, teachers crouching down to eye level to offer encouragement, and parents on the sidelines who simply could not stay quiet. The score board, managed by Ms. Wong and Ms. Khairan, was a constant source of suspense throughout the morning.

Parents Step Up and Deliver

Perhaps no moment drew louder cheers from the children than the Parents’ Game. When mummies and daddies stepped onto the field, something wonderful happened: the roles reversed. Now it was the children doing the screaming encouragement from the sidelines, watching their parents compete with an enthusiasm that suggested nobody had told the grown-ups they were allowed to take it easy.

The Parents’ Game was a reminder of what makes Kinder Labz more than a school — it is a community. The laughter that filled the field during those few minutes was the kind that parents will remember long after the medals have been tucked away in a drawer.

The Results

After a morning of hard-fought competition and extraordinary heart, the final standings were as follows:

Champion: Yellow House

1st Runner-Up: Blue House
2nd Runner-Up: Green House
3rd Runner-Up: Red House

“Today was never really about who won. It was about watching these children show up, give everything they had, and cheer each other on. That is exactly what we want them to carry with them — long after Sports Day is over.”

— Dr. Evelyn Chen, Executive Director, Bonanza Educare

Kinder Labz Sports Day 2026 concluded by 10.00am, with children dismissed into the arms of proud, exhausted and thoroughly happy families. The four house banners were folded away. The score board was cleared. And somewhere on the field, Benji was still dancing.
